Are you in the business of providing management consultancy? The MCA Management Awards are looking for the most effective or innovative management consultancies in the UK.

The awards are open now to those companies who have really excelled for their clients this year. This year’s awards also feature two categories celebrating the most innovative and collaborative companies.

There are 14 categories available:

  • Environment
  • Change management in the public sector
  • Change management in the private sector
  • Customer engagement
  • Operational performance in the public sector
  • Operational performance in the private sector
  • Innovation
  • International
  • Business strategy
  • Human resources
  • Outsourcing consultancy
  • Technology
  • Most Innovative Firm
  • Most Collaborative Firm

Companies must have been operating in the UK for three years and employ at least ten full time consultants to be eligible for entry.

MCA members will be charged £399 plus VAT per entry, while non-members will be charged £599 plus VAT.

Entries must be submitted by Friday 13th November 2009.

The awards highlight exceptional people and HR-led programmes and are free to enter.

There are eight categories available this year:

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 15th October 2009 at the London Marriott Hotel.

If you were part of an exceptional public sector communications project in the last year, the Good Communications Awards 2009 are for you.

The Good Communications Awards recognise effective internal and external communications among Local Authorities, Central Government Departments, Charities, Voluntary Sector Organisations and academia.

There are four main awards for all round communications excellence:

  • Local Authority of the Year sponsored by Google
  • Strategic Communications Campaign
  • Central Government Communicator of the Year

There are also a further 18 awards split across four main categories:

  • IT and E-Government
  • Telecoms
  • Print
  • Public Relations

The deadline for entries in 5pm on 5th May and all submissions must relate to projects undertaken between 1st February 2008 and 1st May 2009.

Can you demonstrate excellence in public sector HR?

The Public Sector People Managers Association Human Resource Awards recognise excellence in HR practices within the public sector.

To enter, you will need to submit 1,000 words to the organisers by 29th March, explaining why your organisation deserves to win one of the nine awards on offer.

The categories available are:

  • HR innovation
  • Best PPMA region
  • Total rewards
  • Talent Management
  • Human Capital Management
  • HR Transformation
  • HR Efficiency and Business Impact Award
  • Outstanding professional contribution

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 29th April at the Midland Hotel Manchester.

The awards ceremony coincides with the PPMA Annual Conference 2009, which takes place in Manchester from 29th April to 1st May.
